Biography

Ziva Branstetter is the CEO of the Tulsa Flyer, a new nonprofit newsroom in Tulsa, which also publishes The Oklahoma Eagle, the nation's 10th-oldest Black-owned newspaper. She is a Pulitzer Prize-winning newsroom leader with extensive experience leading teams in local and national newsrooms. Her work has garnered over 15 national and international awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service in 2025 and a finalist nomination for the Pulitzer Prize in Local Reporting in 2015.
