Biography

Younous Omarjee is a French politician who has served as a Member of the European Parliament since January 4, 2012. Originally from La Réunion, he is deeply committed to values of social justice and equality between territories. In July 2024, he was elected Vice-President of the European Parliament.

From July 2019 to 2024, Omarjee chaired the European Parliament Committee on Regional Development (REGI).
