Yosimar Reyes is a Mexican-born poet and activist, born in Guerrero, Mexico, and raised in East San Jose, California. As a queer undocumented immigrant, Reyes centers queer, working-class, and immigrant themes in his artistic work. He currently serves as the inaugural Performing Artist in Residence and Performing Arts Programmer at MACLA/Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana, where he curates programs that uplift contemporary Chicanx/Latinx artists.
