Yeonmi Park is a North Korean defector, author, and American conservative activist, recognized as one of the most famous North Korean defectors globally. She fled North Korea to China in 2007 at age 13, later moving to South Korea, and then to the United States. Park gained wider global attention after her passionate speech about the brutality of the North Korean regime at the 2014 One Young World Summit in Dublin, Ireland.
