Walid Mehanna serves as the Chief Data & AI Officer at Merck Group, where he is responsible for leading the global Merck Data & AI Organization. In this role, he oversees the strategy, value, architecture, governance, engineering, and operations related to data and AI across the entire company. He works closely with Merck’s business sectors and their data offices to leverage the potential of Data & AI.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mehanna is the Chairman of Digital Ethics.
