William Dawbney Nordhaus is an American economist and Sterling Professor of Economics at Yale University. He is best known for his pioneering work in economic modeling and climate change, which led to him being a co-recipient of the 2018 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. The prize recognized his efforts in integrating climate change into long-run macroeconomic analysis.
