William E. Ford is an American businessman who serves as the Chairman and CEO of General Atlantic, a global investing firm with $118 billion in assets under management as of September, 2025. He joined General Atlantic in 1991 and was appointed chief executive officer in 2007. Prior to his tenure at General Atlantic, Ford worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co.
