William S. Demchak is the chairman and chief executive officer of The PNC Financial Services Group, one of the largest diversified financial services companies in the United States. He joined PNC in 2002 as chief financial officer. Over his tenure, he was named head of PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking in July 2005, promoted to senior vice chairman in 2009, and became head of PNC businesses in August 2010.
