Dr. Welton Chang serves as the Strategic Foresight Lead at Anthropic PBC. Prior to his current role, he co-founded and was the CEO of Pyrra Technologies, an AI-powered social media intelligence company that was acquired by AlertMedia in 2025.

Earlier in his career, Chang was the first Chief Technology Officer at Human Rights First, where he established the organization's Innovation Lab. He also worked as a senior researcher at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory.
