He is recognized for his contributions to the field of cybersecurity, specifically for the reverse-engineering and cryptanalysis of proprietary in-vehicle immobilizer authentication ciphers used by major automotive manufacturers. He also co-developed the world's fastest public attack against the Hitag2 cipher.
