Wawa Gatheru is a Kenyan-American climate activist dedicated to fostering a climate movement that incorporates the diverse voices, leadership, and experiences of all people. In 2019, she achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Black individual to be awarded the Rhodes, Truman, and Udall scholarships. She holds a B.
A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Connecticut and an M.Sc.
in Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford.
