Wamkele Mene is the Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, a position he was elected to in February 2020 as its first Secretary. In this role, he leads the implementation of the AfCFTA agreement, which aims to create a single market for goods and services across the African continent.
