Biography

Michael Waidner is a German computer scientist who serves as the CEO of ATHENE, Europe's largest cybersecurity research center, which employs over 600 scientists. He is also the Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology (SIT) and a Professor at TU Darmstadt, where he heads the Security in Information Technology research group.

His work focuses on advancing Germany's and Europe's digital sovereignty through cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.
