Vivek Dhar is the Head of Commodities and Sustainability Research at Commonwealth Bank. He has served as CBA's lead mining and energy commodities strategist since late 2014, following four years as a junior analyst. His extensive coverage includes base metals, iron ore, coal, oil, and LNG markets.

Since 2022, Dhar's research has expanded to encompass Australia's carbon, east-coast gas, and electricity markets. A significant and growing focus in his research is Australia's energy transition.
