Born on January 28, 1955, in Pune, Maharashtra, India, Vinod Khosla developed an early interest in entrepreneurship after reading about Intel's founding. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from IIT Delhi in 1976, where he started the first computer club and helped establish India's first biomedical engineering program. Khosla later received a master's in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1980.
