Biography

Vednita Carter is an American anti-sex trafficking and anti-prostitution activist. She is the Founder and President of Vednita Carter Ministries, established in 2016. In 1996, Carter founded Breaking Free, a St.

Paul, Minnesota-based non-profit dedicated to ending all forms of prostitution and sex trafficking. As executive director, she expanded its services to include emergency assistance, housing, medical care, legal aid, and addiction services for victims.
