Vaidyanathan is the Managing Director and CEO of IDFC FIRST Bank, where he is focused on building a world-class institution in India based on ethical, digital, and social good banking principles. His strategy involved acquiring an NBFC and converting it into a bank by merging it with IDFC Bank, forming IDFC FIRST Bank in December 2018.
Prior to his current role, Vaidyanathan had a significant career at ICICI Bank, joining in 2000.
