Kärt Tomberg is the CEO and Co-Founder of ExpressionEdits. Her work at ExpressionEdits centers on synthetic biology, with a particular interest in making synthetic biology resemble nature by incorporating introns back into genes. Prior to co-founding ExpressionEdits, Tomberg held academic and research positions.

She served as a Research Associate at Homerton College and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. She is also a BSF Fellow at Wilbe.
