Tomaso Poggio is the Eugene McDermott Professor at MIT and serves as the director of the NSF Center for Brains, Minds and Machines, a collaborative institution involving MIT and Harvard. He is also a member of both MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the McGovern Brain Institute. His academic distinctions include being a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Founding Fellow of AAAI, and a founding member of the McGovern Institute for Brain Research.
