Biography

Tom Standage is the Deputy Editor of The Economist and editor of its annual publication, 'The World Ahead.' He joined The Economist in 1998 as a science correspondent and subsequently held roles as technology editor, business editor, and digital editor. In his capacity as head of the newspaper's digital strategy, Standage also serves as editor-in-chief of The Economist's website, applications, and digital platform.
