Dr. Tess Newton Cain is a distinguished academic, consultant, and researcher with over 25 years of experience in delivering policy, research, and analysis for strategic development across the Pacific islands region. She earned her PhD in Law and Criminology and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wales.

Currently, Dr. Newton Cain serves as an Associate Professor & Project Lead for the Pacific Hub at Griffith Asia Institute, Griffith University.
