Tim Althoff is an Assistant Professor in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. His research aims to better understand and empower people through data, focusing on computational methods that leverage large-scale behavioral data.
He directs the Behavioral Data Science Group, which conducts research related to mental health, misinformation, scientific reproducibility, and public health. This work includes informing the COVID-19 response.
