Biography

Thorsten Beck is the Director at the European University Institute, a position he has held since 2021. Previously, he served as a professor of banking and finance at Cass Business School from September 2013 to February 2021. He also held the role of professor of economics and chair of the European Banking Center at Tilburg University from August 2008 to July 2014. He is a research fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).
