Thomas Kielinger, born in Danzig in 1940, is a German journalist, political commentator, and author. He pursued his studies at the Universities of Münster and Bochum, earning a graduate degree, and also spent three years in the 1960s as a Lector in the German department at the University of Cardiff. His career in journalism began in 1971 when he joined the German daily national newspaper Die Welt in Hamburg as its literary critic.
