Robert Ralph Parsons is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, best known for founding the GoDaddy group of companies, PXG (Parsons Xtreme Golf), and YAM Worldwide. A U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Combat Vet, he has built a diverse business empire and is also a New York Times bestselling author.
Parsons founded the internet domain registrar and web hosting company GoDaddy in 1997. In July 2011, he sold approximately 70 percent of GoDaddy to a private equity consortium and resigned as CEO.
