Biography

Thang Luong serves as a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind, where his work focuses on multimodal learning at scale and superintelligence. His research spans various disciplines, including search with DeepRank, computer vision with UDA, NoisyStudent, and MPL, and language models such as Luong Attention, QANet, ELECTRA, and Meena.

Luong is a co-founder of the Meena project, also known as LaMDA. In addition to his research at Google DeepMind, he co-founded VietAI in January 2018.
