Tarek Ali Hassan (1937–2024) was an Egyptian endocrinologist, professor of medicine, and chief of endocrinology at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. Beyond his medical career, he was a multifaceted individual recognized as a composer, musician, writer, painter, and philosopher. His work in music, characterized by a modern polyphonic style, was performed in Egypt and various international venues, including the new Cairo Opera, where he served as founding chairman.
