Biography

Tammy Suzanne Green Baldwin is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the junior United States Senator from Wisconsin since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, she has also held the position of Secretary of the Senate Democratic Caucus since 2017 and has been the dean of the United States congressional delegation from Wisconsin since 2023.

Baldwin's political career began with her election to the Dane County Board of Supervisors in 1986, where she served until 1994.
