Tai Simpson, a Black and Nimiipuu (Nez Perce Tribe) tribal member, is a storyteller, organizer, and matriarch deeply committed to decolonization and addressing violence in Indigenous communities. She currently serves as Chairwoman of the Board at the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center, a position she has held since 2023.
Since 2019, Simpson has been the Co-Executive Director of Collective Stewardship at the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual & Domestic Violence.
