Sylvia Allegretto is a Senior Economist at the Center for Economic & Policy Research (CEPR). She is a labor economist whose expertise includes minimum and sub-minimum wages, teacher pay, inequality, unemployment, public employee compensation, collective bargaining, and low-wage labor markets.

From 2007 to 2022, Allegretto co-chaired the Center on Wage and Employment Dynamics at the University of California, Berkeley.
