Charles Bradford Cooper II is an American admiral currently serving as the commander of the United States Central Command since August 2025. Prior to this role, he was the deputy commander of the United States Central Command from 2024 to 2025. From 2021 to 2024, he commanded the United States Naval Forces Central Command, United States Fifth Fleet, and Combined Maritime Forces.
He is the first Navy admiral to hold the CENTCOM post since William J. Fallon in 2008.
