Biography

Sussan Penelope Ley is an Australian retired politician. She served as the leader of the Opposition and the leader of the Liberal Party from 2025 to 2026. Ley was the member of parliament (MP) for the New South Wales division of Farrer from 2001 to 2026, and she was the first woman in Australian history to hold either leadership position.

Throughout her political career, Ley held various ministerial positions in the Abbott, Turnbull, and Morrison governments.
