Sunil Gupta is the Edward Carter Professor of Business at Harvard Business School, a position he has held since 2006. He is also a board member at US Foods, serving from March 2018 to May 2025.

Prior to his tenure at Harvard, Gupta was the Meyer Feldberg Professor of Business at Columbia Business School from July 1990 to June 2006. He began his academic career as an Assistant Professor at UCLA Anderson School of Management from July 1986 to June 1990. Gupta holds both a Ph.D.
