Suchitra Sebastian is a condensed matter physicist and a Professor of Physics at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. She is recognized for her discoveries of exotic quantum phenomena that emerge in complex materials, particularly for identifying unconventional insulating materials that exhibit simultaneous conduction-like behavior. In 2022, she was awarded the New Horizons in Physics Prize by the Breakthrough Foundation for her work.
