Biography

Steve Tsang is a Hong Kong-born political scientist and historian, known for his expertise in the politics, international relations, security, and modern history of China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. He is currently the Director of the SOAS China Institute at SOAS University of London, a position he has held since December 2016. His work also encompasses the foreign and security policies of China and Taiwan, as well as peace and security in East Asia.
