Stephen Joseph Scalise is an American politician currently serving as the House Majority Leader since 2023. He has represented Louisiana's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2008 as a member of the Republican Party. His district encompasses most of New Orleans's suburbs, including Metairie, Kenner, and Slidell, along with a portion of New Orleans itself.

Scalise has held significant leadership positions within the House Republican Conference.
