Steven Anthony Ballmer is an American businessman and investor, widely recognized for his leadership at Microsoft and his current ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers. As of February 2026, his personal wealth was estimated at around $145 billion by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He is also a co-founder of the Ballmer Group, a philanthropic investment company.
Ballmer joined Microsoft in 1980, hired by Bill Gates, and subsequently left his MBA program at Stanford University.
