Stephen A. Schwarzman is an American businessman and philanthropist, best known as the Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of Blackstone. He established the global private equity firm in 1985 with Peter G. Peterson. As of September 30, 2024, Blackstone managed $1.1 trillion in assets across various areas including business acquisition, real estate, direct lending, and alternative assets.

Schwarzman's career in financial services began at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
