Sophia Goodfriend is an anthropologist and a research fellow. She holds the position of Harry F. Guggenheim Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Pembroke College. Her research specifically investigates the impact of artificial intelligence on military conflict in the Middle East.

In addition to her role at Cambridge, Goodfriend is a non-resident research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Middle East Initiative.
