Simon Stiell is the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a position he has held since August 2022. In this role, he leads the UN Climate Change body, succeeding Patricia Espinosa.
Prior to his international appointment, Stiell had a distinguished political career in Grenada. He was appointed to the Senate of Grenada in 2013 as a member of the New National Party.
