Simon Lester is a co-founder of WorldTradeLaw.net and China Trade Monitor. He currently serves as a Non-Resident Fellow at Rice University's Baker Institute For Public Policy.

His career includes leadership roles as President of both China Trade Monitor and Worldtradelaw.Net. Previously, he was an Associate Director for the Center for Trade Policy Studies at the Cato Institute.

Lester also held the position of Legal Affairs Officer for the Appellate Body at the World Trade Organization.
