Simon H. Johnson, a British-American economist born in 1963, is a co-winner of the 2024 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, awarded for his comparative studies in prosperity between nations. He has served as the Ronald A. Kurtz Professor of Entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School of Management since 2004, where he also heads the Global Economics and Management group.
From March 2007 through August 2008, Johnson served as Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
