Biography

Sima Bahous is the third Executive Director of UN Women and an Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, a position she has held since 2021. A Jordanian diplomat and women's rights advocate, she leads the United Nations agency mandated to build a world where every woman and girl is free and safe to live a life of their choosing.
