María Silvana Tenreyro is a British-Argentine economist and Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, a position she has held since 2004. She is known for her contributions to macroeconomics and international economics. From July 2017 to July 2023, Tenreyro served as an external member of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee, where she was reappointed for a second term in July 2020. In 2021, she was president of the European Economic Association.
