Biography

Sigrid Kaag is a prominent Dutch politician, humanitarian, and diplomat with an extensive career spanning both national government and international organizations. She currently holds significant roles within the United Nations, serving as the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process since 2025 and the Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza since 2024.

Prior to her return to the UN, Kaag was a leading figure in Dutch politics.
