Biography

Shontel Monique Brown is an American politician currently serving as the U.S. representative for Ohio's 11th congressional district since 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, she was first elected to Congress in a 2021 special election following Marcia Fudge's resignation. She was re-elected in 2022, defeating former state Senator Nina Turner in the Democratic primary.

Prior to her election to Congress, Brown held several political offices.
