Biography

Shixiang Shane Gu is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind, where he contributes to advanced research in artificial intelligence. His tenure at Google, including his time at DeepMind, spans over seven years.

Prior to his current role, Gu served as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI from January 2023 to July 2023. He also held the position of Event Co-Chair at VLAB - MIT Enterprise Forum, Bay Area, from April 2014 to September 2014.
