Biography

Shih-Fu Chang is the Morris A. and Alma Schapiro Professor of Engineering at Columbia University, where he has served as the dean of the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science since 2022. A Taiwanese computer scientist and electrical engineer, he is noted for his research on multimedia information retrieval, computer vision, machine learning, and signal processing.
