Shemara Wikramanayake, born in 1962, serves as the Managing Director and CEO of Macquarie Group Ltd, a position she has held since December 2018. She is recognized as the first female CEO of Macquarie Group and the first Asian-Australian woman to lead an ASX 200 listed company. In 2022, she was Australia's highest-paid CEO for the second year in a row, receiving $A23.7 million in compensation.
