Sharon Lavigne, born in May 1950, is an American environmental justice activist from St. James Parish, Louisiana. She is known for her work combating petrochemical complexes in the region, often referred to as Cancer Alley. Her efforts have earned her significant recognition, including the 2021 Goldman Environmental Prize, the 2022 Laetare Medal, and inclusion in 2024's TIME 100 and 2023's TIME Climate 100.
